These knives are very useful and sturdy and you can get them at walmarts and i am sure other places for less than ten bucks. I always carry one with me in my van and have several more if I need them.
I was in cub and boy scouts when younger. One camp trip especially got my attention. We were in the scouts at FT BENNING GA. They gave us some land just for scouts and we camped there several times. On this one campout we got all set for the night and about dark it started raining I'm talking...
I figure you only run out of toilet paper ONCE. So you never forget next time. Use any extra spot in your pack to carry another roll. mash it flat so it takes up less space. ANY BY ANY MEANS ANYONE GOING OUTSIDE THE US ON A TRIP, USE EVERY AVAILABLE SPACE TO CARRY TOILET PAPER. YOU MAY NOT...
Similar I guess but I bought a large nylon sleeping bag, just in case I go camping. I thought I could unzip it and use it OPEN for a comforter on my bed....NOT... seems it is so slick, the nylon, that there is NO WAY to keep it on the bed. SO, it stays rolled up and in the closet.

I always have several 5 gallon buckets and they are useful in many ways. They make a pretty good temporary seat too. stack several inside each other to adjust the height. NOTE: for anyone who has problems while in the tub or shower, they make a good seat if you have trouble getting up from...
I bought several of these dry boxes at walmarts and they are good to carry anything and are lockable and water resistant. They have a removable tray and you can also get them larger if you need more space. I like them because they are made to stack neatly.
One good tip to insure your safety just in case is to file a plan of the probably area of your foray into the wild. Like pilots file a flight plan. It does not have to be super accurate but basically show the area you are headed and where you expect to be most of the time. With that said, if...
This should be safe with reasonable care. The adapters I have seen are easy to use and you can't exceed the pressure of the original large tank so should be easy to do and save you some bucks too if you use a lot of the smaller canisters. I only have a lamp and a cooktop that uses the canisters...
