Charlottesville VA

Got back from Charlottesville VA last night. Went to Monticello, and see what that town had. We took a walk on their Rivanna river trail that runs across the town beside the river. It was interesting seeing how trail maintenance was to, just keep it clear.

They had an old outdoor theater here that is falling into ruin of course someone is trying to make it look pretty with their graffiti, which didn't look to bad??

On the way home we hopped on the Blue Ridge Parkway for distance to see the Shenandoah valley

We came back down by James River, so we could hit the interstate and get home before to late.

Now I set my hammock up in the yard in an attempt to catch a few ZZZ's before work tonight

Awesome pics. Those trails look very nice. I grew up in South Carolina and frequently backpacked in North Carolina. The Blue Ridge Parkway is amazing and should be on everyone's list of places to visit. Thanks for the pictures Roy.

Oh my gosh, the look down the Shenandoah valley is just heart tugging! So beautiful, oh my gosh, just so beautiful! If nothing else in my life, I have got to get out there to visit this country. Trouble is everytime you turn around, there is something fantastic waiting for you to check out. I'd have to be there a month (or 12) at least. I love American History.

Those paths look incredibly well maintained. Here if it's dirt and it wiggles and no trees laying over the path...it's a trail! Ha ha! Well, there might be a tree laying over it!

If I didn't have to work I probably be sound asleep.
Yes sir, you are singing a song I'm extremely well versed in! So tired I can't hold my head up, I lay down and my eyes fly open and I could no more fall asleep than fly. WHY...WHY...WHY))))))))))!!!!!!!

Well I hope you are able to rest and can make it through work safely!

Always welcome. I live a couple hours from the mountains, and we go when we can.
