Gangwando Mountains in South Korea

Has anyone went camping there? The mountains are spectacular. They sort of remind me of mountains in Southwestern Virginia. However, the ones in Virginia seem to have more rounded tops.

I think that was the suggestion of my cousin when we went to South Korea the other week. My cousin said that the mountains are unique especially at this time of autumn to winter. My impression is Gangwando is a winter resort. However, our destination was the capital Seoul which is far from the mountain areas which are situated in the northern part. The island I had been to was Naminara which was like a fantasy island.
