First share, we'll see if I have this figured out. We were able to get in a hike through Old Man's Cave to the new trails added this year.

Fantastic pictures, beautiful country. Must have felt kind of good to get some of the kinks out. Well, you realize you're committed now, keep the hikes and pictures coming. Looks like a good time.

Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio. Travelled there for a weekend, really pretty minus the holiday congestion.

Where are you at in this last picture? The creek or river or babbling brook, the water level looks low for this time of year, are you in dry lands? Maybe thou can tell me more about it. Killeroy posted Somme pictures of eastern Tennessee in another post here... stunning! You may have to check out his country also, beautiful.

I asked my husband when we were hiking, he said it's just a brook from the water off of Old Man's cave and all the rock formations. The rivers and creeks had actually been quite high in the area with recent flash floods. I have been to TN and the area is beautiful. Much more mountainous than this part of Ohio. Hope to be back there and do some hiking, very peaceful in TN.

We used to pass through Ohio from Michigan to Tennessee every so often when I was growing up. My parents would stop to visit relatives in Toledo, but I don't remember venturing into the country side. My wife and I married right after high school, and couldn't afford a pot to pee in or a window to throw it out of, that's what mom always says. Now we are looking forward to traveling the local surrounding states like Ohio. Most people in this area take off for the beach, which is nice, but I want to see what is in the country side in the local states. Like the car commercial on tv throw dart and go.

Thanks for posting about Old Man's cave and Hocking Hills state park. I am going to put this down as a place to visit in the future. There is so much out there to explore, even in our back yards which we sometimes take for granted, that a person doesn't realize.

There's a ton to check out in the Hocking Hills, enjoy!
