Thanks for sharing, your canoe looks very full :D

Is that mist I see over the lake because of the cold?

....pictures are really excellent - sigh. I'm going to have to go some to do better - well at least make an attempt to be equal.

STINGING NETTLE? Wash thoroughly with warm (not hot) water using a good lathering soap, rinse well and then apply a good (not expensive) body/hand lotion.

@campforums Yes I pack to much stuff, and my nephews kayak doesn't carry much.

he strapped his dry bag to the front of his boat Monday morning.

@Northerndancer to late but thanks for advice anyhow. I have cell service all through this trip, so when I text my wife she said to chew up some plantain plant and rub it on it. I don't think I wanted to chew on anything that I am not sure of what it is..

Cool last night maybe 40 F, and we had to fight the wind all day Sunday. Monday was better, calmer, so we made good time to our next and last spot. Of course the improved fishing was good to.

. We had buckwheat pancakes and maple syrup for supper a little while ago, yummy. Warmer tonight and it's almost 1am. Going to bed.

...I'm going to assume that you eat what you catch? It looks mighty good!

I've been thinking about getting a canoe seat and I see you have one. What do you think - was it a good idea and what brand might it be?

Keep the stuff coming it adds so much to the site. ;)

I don't prefer small mouth bass, so it was catch and release. If those fish were walleye, then I would've posted a picture of them laid over some hot coals, here and oiled [emoji14] .

The seat I got from Dickson Sporting goods. I don't remember the brand, but it really relieves the stress on my back. We were on the water about 8 hours sunday, and that little extra back support was great.

The grand looks similar to the holston river here. There is very little sand in this river most of it is either rock mud.

We seen all kinds of otters, muskrats, beavers and deer, but I wasn't quick enough to get pictures.

The water was a little high from the rains, so getting over the shoals wasn't a problem.

Back to civilization, and take out.

We had a great trip. Short but a real good time with my nephew. I look forward to hearing about everyone else's trips. Some one especially is going next month......(Northern Dancer ) so we want story and pictures.
