Laurel Run

Took short hike at a local state park 20 min drive from home. I don't think I've been here this time of year when there were no leaves on the trees. We hiked to overlook then to a couple of water falls. It was a great afternoon. The woods look so different this time of year.

I hate this new app upgrade, more like down-grade).

Part 2 coming up.

More pictures, of course.....

The waterfall in 2nd picture, looks like water has moved further to right side. I'll see if I can find older picture to compare.

This should've been water fall in 2nd picture. I did find picture of same fall from last may. We had more rain back then.

killeroy you always make me feel so lazy:happy:. You go on these great hikes taking awesome pics and I'm sitting on the coach. I need to get the wife out more often and go take some short day hikes. We are always thinking of the next big trip and forget about all the parks near by. You always inspire me with your posts and for that I thank you now I just need to peel my butt off the coach and get out.

Thank you @Madman4800. We try to encourage each other to get out and hike more even if it's for a couple of hours. I am guilty of sitting on my hind end watching tv. I'd love to go back and do the day hikes that we did 9 years ago in the smokey mtns and parts of the AT. It's just the 4 to 5 hours driving there and back for a day hike that deters me from it. That was the best shape I was ever in. I enjoy taking pictures and posting them. This site has encouraged me to be more active.
