It's always the same...
spend an hour cleaning the site of any debris; picking up bottle caps,
cutting down old tower guy lines and checking out the site
for widow makers and possible puddle areas.
Once that is done the camp is set up.

My bed sitting room includes solar power, a comfortable bed, chair, and rugs
to keep my feet warm.
Perfect protection in all kinds of weather.

The kitchen area is well appointed with candle light, soft music
and comfortable chair to sip back a rich cup of coffee.

My flag is raised that confirms that I...AM...IN...RESIDENCE.
And then there is nothing to do...accept enjoy the trails, the Lake,
the sound of nature, the gentle breezes and oh yes...
the quiet and solitude.

Reach out to life and enjoy - even the plants
know how to do that.

...you don't have to be jealous - everyone has their own style. I just happen to take it to the next level.
Canoe tripping would not allow such luxury - I'll be posting pictures of that one too.

This was the first time that I watched full length movies - with popcorn and the works. It was pouring rain and I had already read the books that I had brought along. I never thought of watching a movie before but with the solar power I thought I would try it. I got a whole DVD package with all the cords and carry pouch for ten bucks at Value Village - really a good buy. :)

Sorry for your loss, beautiful memorial you have created though

Thank you! There have been a lot of deaths lately for some reason. I buried Michael's Father when he was 14, officiated at his wedding last August; this Friday I bury Michael. He was involved in a horrific traffic accident on Highway 6 and Milgrove Road at the end of August. There are some aspects of my vocation I don't like.

Life is very precious, and it is a very hard thing to see someone so young pass on. As I have gotten older the only thing I can ask for, when I am gone, is for someone to remember me with fond memories. We are not just here for ourselves, but we exist for each other.
