Pretty cool, thanks for sharing! Although your chocolate novaks look like something that a bear would leave behind on the trail...

Whenever camping, I always try to convince the wife to come along too. Afterall, she has a real nice pair of pillows that always bring me guaranteed comfort out in in the woods.

You hit the nail on the head. I chose to go with a Kodiak Canvas tent and stalked the internet for the best price, ended up snagging a brand new one on eBay directly from the manufacturer for $100 less and a free footprint to boot. It just took a few m months for the pricing to be what inwas...

Good to see you guys too! Just got back from a week of "basecamping" on Wellesley Island in the 1000 Islands area.

KOA's while nice and clean are independently owned franchises so each one could have rules different from one another and company rules could be enforced differently from one to another.
I prefer to stay at state or national parks as they tend to have some type of historical and/or natural...
I have only stayed at one KOA and saw al kinds of RV's, teardrops, travel trailers, Airstreams, Sportsmobiles and tents. Several of them appeared to be "vintage" and a few were so rough looking that they resembled a permanent tenentament on wheels that you would find parked curbside along...
