  • I have a 16 footer as you know - I need it because my Lab is a canoe dog (I still can't get him to paddle for me - but I keep trying.) I have a thread "On the Water" - Canoe Country - pictures of one of my canoe trips from last year. It shows my base camp set up. Glad you are with us.
We upgraded our canoe this year as well. Went from a 14' Coleman Scanoe to a 14'6" Old Town Saranac. We live it. Very comfortable.
We got the wife a very basic 8' sit-in to see if she would like it. She's only been out on it once. But, said she prefers the canoe.
Same here with the kayak. Mine is nothing fancy. A basic 10' sit-in angler from Academy Sports and Outdoor.
Right now, just weekend warriors. I'm wanting to get in to canoe camping and maybe the go light kayak camping.
How are you? Can I ask what kind of camping you are into? Weekend warrior, lost in the forest, canoe camping, hanging out in the park?
