    Playing games in a campsite

A day with a bright moon is practically like evening. I think it would be fun to try paintball in the forest. Has anyone tried that? Iv'e only tried Laser Tag, and boy, you need to be in shape to do that!

    Camping in Alaska

I think Alaska would be like the Wild West, to be honest. I'm not sure what grip law enforcement has on the more isolated spots. In that case, I don't know if just average campers, lacking the right skills, should try it. I'd want to experience both.

Sleeping with No Tent - Only a Sleeping Bag

So how can we prevent animals from coming in? Keep the food in containers? Eat all of it before bedtime? How good is the tent, though? Surely they have better ones!

Campsites for Survival - I mean really.

What exactly are the obstacles? I wouldn't try that in my area cause there are too many private gun owners! But anyway, even the situation I mentioned is using paid campsites - usually the cheapest, often found on bnb sites.

    Shelter for Winter Camping

Interesting. I did not know that! I was thinking it was purely for warmth. Seems like it would melt, but I suppose there is just so much cold stuff it isn't possible. Was it snow fort or an igloo? Why?

    That Certain TV Show!

Yeah, I think they're trying to appeal to sex, what do you think? Why are humans repulsed by maggots? Money talks!

    That Certain TV Show!

It's Naked and Afraid. Could you all survive on it? What would be your typical game plan? So do you feel disgusted by those who tap out? Do you feel pity for them? What do you think they're doing wrong? In other words, generally, what made them fall?

Campsites for Survival - I mean really.

I think it would be an adventure and I think someone could survive. I mean, it's kind of like one of those Naked and Afraid shows. However, It has to be far more easier! Do you all think it would be easier? Why would people possibly assume such a person was a thief?

    Camping with the boys

Drinking is fun but how much would it interfere with judgement? You wouldn't want to be robbed or do "drinking and hunting", LOL. Anyway, I know it's all in good fun, but what precautions are needed? In cowboy days, I'm sure card playing was all they had to do most of the time. And of...

    What does the name mean?

I hate that the places were dammed. But to be honest, the alternative of nuclear power was rejected. I mean, I'm from the local area also, and I did read about the plant planned over the mountain from me. But anyway, at the time of the damming, there wasn't even a nuclear option and also...

    Shelter for Winter Camping

Even if there was a big snow where I live (in East Tennesseee, USA), there certainly wouldn't be enough to make a snow fort or igloo. In that case, a tent would be a must. Anyway, regarding the last year, there wasn't any snow worth mentioning!

    Shelter for Winter Camping

The big three are heavy tents, Quinzhees (snow forts), and igloos. Of the three, igloos were judged the warmest, with Quinzhees coming in 2nd - and last, the heavy tents. Anyway, the heat increase of the igloo was significant - so surely, the Eskimos know what they're doing! ;) Has anyone...

    Creating a snow cave

Would this compare to an igloo? Is it the same thing? If it doesn't totally protect you, then it can't be an igloo.

    Improvised shelter

Across the creek (stream) from my parent's home are some reeds. Anyway, I figure since they look like commercial tent poles, they'd be good for making a tent. So has anyone tried to use them? Well, as a kid, I tried to make some tents, but they were never as good as the commercial, not even...

Sleeping with No Tent - Only a Sleeping Bag

Some might choose this route, but it can problematic with rain. However, though, I'm sure some can even tough it out with light rain - and maybe even heavier stuff! Has anyone tried to camp with only a sleeping bag? What was the experience? Myself, I tried it once at a camp in West Virginia...
