    Restaurant on the river boat

I have seen quite the variety when it comes to floating eating options lately, and I have to say that I like it. I think maybe I am just more suited to eat at them these days but for whatever reason they are appearing more frequently.

    Checking the weather

Well the good news is that it has gotten a lot more accurate and makes it pretty easy to plan ahead. Of course you probably need to have your emergency stuff but even then you would likely know to expect it, but always a good idea to double and triple check.

    Bad weather in the camp

I am pretty sure that we have all been here before, at least to some degree. I would say the good news is that you tend to get pretty good at preparing for it and planning ahead, so just call it some early learning experiences.

    Secluded campsite in Rollinsville, CO

Well for me the more secluded the better so this looks like an ideal spot. These are some great photos and thanks for sharing, and it definitely makes me want to get out and take advantage of what summer we have left here.

    Catching and eating frogs

I have never eaten frog, but have always wanted to try some frog legs, if done correctly I suppose. Of course I have heard that it tastes like chicken but I am not sure how accurate that really is.

    Picnic by the river bank

Sounds like a much better idea than most of my lunches. This is probably a good way to beat my usual mid week blues, but then again there is a sever lack of bodies of water around here, which is depressing in itself.

    Hmm maybe I do this?

I wish that I had that choice, or the ability to do it on a whim as much as it seems you may have. I do plan on it eventually, but still need to do the saving up and the planning and all of that stuff.

Responsible camper – vandals and litterbugs

Well it is hard to be completely invisible or close to it, but I would like to think that I am closer to the only footprint side than the other side. It bugs me to see others who are far from responsible, but I do know that I could probably do better myself.

    Catching beetles

I think that I would probably just prefer to walk the other way, although if you are good with bugs then it may be enjoyable. I used to be a bit more adventurous with these things but not really so much anymore.

    Catching shrimps with socks

This is the first time I hearing of this, but something tells me that it works well, and I am not sure why it tells me that. I do happen to love shrimp, which also makes me think I would be terrible at this, but I am intrigued.

    Gloves against thorns

This is usually one of those things that you may not really think about until you are faced with the pain, but certainly is good to have on hand - pun intended. Thankfully I do have a pretty sturdy set of gloves that I always bring with me.

    The Walking Dead fans?

Well I am not a big fan of the show but that is interesting that maybe it does kind of play a weird role in the camping activities of some. Maybe it is good, in that you are better prepared for those unexpected critters, which at least are not zombies.

    A Walk in the park

It is so nice when you can take an easy day and still get a lot of the outdoors and nature that you would on a hike or something. We do not have that many spots around here but there are a few.

    My Nearest Retreat

It is always a little better when you do have that end place to arrive at, and I would agree that a nice body of water is nice to look forward to. It makes me miss my last home where there was a nice river perfect distance away, but oh well.

    Be Safe!

The rain can often bring some issues that you may not really prepare for, and I have certainly been on the receiving end of that. It does just raise that alarm though to take the extra measures and precautions to always remain safe.

    Don’t climb big trees

I would probably advise against climbing anything if you are like me. I might have gotten a little better balance and things throughout the years but I still feel like a stumbling fool most of the time. But yes, always be safe when climbing.

    Best Way to Purify Water?

Well of that fancy stuff sure seems nice, but I have yet to go wrong with the simple iodine tablets. It is a little unnerving seeing the things floating in there, but as long as it is good to drink I am okay. I will boil if I get the chance but that is rare.

    When there is no food

Well I am very very thankful to report that I have not been here, but we have had some interesting times when it was a real possibility. It is amazing how your mind can changed when the thought enters in, and I do not wish it upon anyone.

    Wearing a hat

This has to be the main and continual thing to point to as an easy solution to something that happens quite easily. Whenever you are out in the sun chances are your face is getting some, which means it takes the brunt, and a hat can block it just the right amount.

    Careful with the vegetation

Well I would say that anywhere you go you should really cone up on the local growth and what is around there, as much as it is possible at least. I think most places do offer a pretty good idea through some sources, but you can never be too sure.
