    YOUR AWESOME EXPERIENCES...

My most memorable camping trip was in South Carolina at lake Thurmond. I was on a Scout trip and our Scout Master got all of us up early in the morning and took as to a point overlooking the lake. There were a few telescopes and several pairs of binoculars for everyone to share. We watched...

    Anyone use a sleeping pad?

Has anyone tried a zero gravity reclining chair. I tried my buddies last summer and I will be picking one up soon. Very comfy. Sent from my E39 using Tapatalk

    Anyone use a sleeping pad?

I always use a tarp. There has been time when that's all I've used. That's A nice set up ND. Home away from home. I will post some pics here soon. I have new lap top and nothing on it yet. Therm-a-rest. I thought I spelled that wrong. They make some nice pads and judging by the sound of Bibs I...

Why do you buy what you buy?

I wouldn't change a thing. Love watching the kids use the skills they've learned over the years and when my 9 year old daughter out does her 3 teenage brothers is priceless. Sent from my E39 using Tapatalk

Why do you buy what you buy?

When I was a kid in Scouts we did a lot of packing. My mess kit was just a large steel cup and a spork. I could cook food, boil water and eat using just a cup. Now I have my wife 3 teenage boys and a 9 year old little girl and it seems like we don't bring enough. Large camp stove, grill, Dutch...

    Anyone use a sleeping pad?

I got my queen size on Amazon for less than 100. It weighs about 65 # so not something you would strap to a pack. Thermorest has some nice pads for packing. I like to find something natural to put under my tent like leaves or pine straw for padding and insulation. Sent from my E39 using Tapatalk

    Anyone use a sleeping pad?

I don't have a pad but a last year my wife talked me into buying a queen size cot with built in air mattress. Not exactly something I would have done on my own but my back sure doesn't mined.

    New guy

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I have been in Scouts since I was a kid and now I'm 43 with kids of my own in Scouts. In fact my old was awarded his Eagle Scout last year and my youngest is currently Chaplain Aid for our troop. Scouting is a good way to get kids connected with nature and...

    New guy

I like to think of myself as a serious dude that got married and had to slow my habit down a bit. I take the family camping every chance I get and my boys and I are heavily involved in Boy Scouts. Sent from my E39 using Tapatalk
