    Heading Out

This wasn't a "typical" trip for us due to my stepkids being with us and kayaks/bikes/added stuff. Normally it's just the three littles and our camping gear. We had to leave today due to heat (my youngest has eczema and has to be covered most of the time or else he could get an infection from...

    Torn Camping Clothes?

There is also another fabric that a lot of work clothes is made out of... All that's coming to mind is cotton duck which is like canvas. I think it's either the same or similar. It seems pretty sturdy though I've never personally owned anything like it. Sent from my LGLS996 using Tapatalk

    Heading Out

Stepson, daughter, and 2yr old son. Kinda proud of my daughter since she's only four and already doing 4mi hikes, staking her own tent, paddling out in the James River to get me, fishing, washing dishes, etc. She's also a pretty awesome gymnast lol. Sent from my LGLS996 using Tapatalk

    Camping In Groups

We usually camp with my mom. My husband and I have 3 kids and he has 2 kids from his first marriage, so we're quite a crowd on our own, especially during visitation. My grandparents, aunt and uncle went with us a few trips ago and I just felt like waitstaff lol constantly cooking, serving...

    Kinda Curious...

At this point, we are planning to buy a kit from either Blue Ridge Mountain Yurts or Pacific Yurts (probably Blue Ridge since they're in-state). We're on the lookout for a spot, around 10 acres that's close to where my husband works. He has to drive about an hour one way to work. Luckily the...

    Self-Made Fishing Spear?

I haven't ever tried that, but I'm kind of interested in making my own bowfishing set up. There might be some youtube videos on making your own spear for spearfishing. I've seen some pins on pinterest about making spears, too. Sent from my LGLS996 using Tapatalk

    What do you prefer?

There's one pair of yoga pants from Betabrand that I really love. Their "business casual" yoga pants are perfect for being outside in cooler weather because they're thick with a non-elastic waistband. I was pretty sad I got caulk on mine, but now I can feel better about being outside in them...

    Torn Camping Clothes?

That's what I do is wearing tight fitting clothes that I can still move around in. Then some taller boots so my pants tuck in to them. Duct tape? That's what snowboarders do at least lol. Sent from my LGLS996 using Tapatalk

    Heading Out

We're leaving in about an hour to go camping despite some strife... Wish me luck lol. Hoping to have some peace on my kayak, fishing. Still have way too much packed so I'm gonna work on streamlining our gear some more for next time. We're still taking the huge grill this time.

    What do you prefer?

There are a lot of options out there now for camping/outdoor attire and it seems I've barely scratched the surface. For everyday use, I normally wear a lot of cotton clothes, which kind of sucks for being outside, especially in heat. I saw a recent sale on bamboo clothing and found I like that...

    Good Day Everyone! :)

Hello & welcome [emoji5] I'm actually getting ready to go camping later today.

    Kinda Curious...

I was wondering how camping has trickled over into everyday life for everyone else? For me, I'm obsessed with yurts and living off grid. I finally convinced my husband about the yurt thing but his compromise was that it wouldn't be completely off grid. I'm also into foraging. I don't do much...

    What is your Totem

Very true. Tattoos have really come a long way; I'm sure you could get an awesome beaver design. I originally wanted a sort-of totem pole to represent my family: an otter for my husband (which was kind of funny considering your original post), bee for me, wolf for my daughter, koala for one...

    What is your Totem

Indeed. Well, more like covered up because I was an idiot, drunken 20 yr old getting free practice tattoos lol. My daughter came up to me once and said, "A clue, a clue! Wait, why do you have a clue on your chest, mommy?" (A paw print; she thought it was Blue's Clues.) "A string of poor...

    What is your Totem

I have 12 tattoos. I'd like to get a couple of them redone eventually. That's a neat story [emoji5] Would be interesting if they hadn't found out as the pup grew... Sent from my LGLS996 using Tapatalk

    What is your Totem

You should [emoji5] I've always been fascinated by it and to hear people's reasoning. Sent from my LGLS996 using Tapatalk
