    Time to go!

I love coking in bags mostly for the easy clean up.

    Leftover dinner

We clean our campsites before we set up and do it again before we leave. It is maddening to have to pick up after lazy people that just don't care.

    Tight or loose clothes

I'm a lose clothing guy unless its chilly. I will wear a tighter first layer when it is cold. I haven't gotten my layers any thicker than two. Feet and hands are most important. Keeping your feet and hands dry and warm are always at the top of my list.

    Advertising with Romance and Seduction

I think my first stove was a sterno stove and as far as I can remember that worked pretty good for what it was and it was cheap.

    12 month challenge

I'm thinking of this as a push to get me out of my comfort zone with winter camping. I can use the gear I have now combined with some DIY before I spend money on a lot of winter gear. I have all summer to research and prepare. I also have my boys interested so we will make this a fun family...

    12 month challenge

I told my wife I was going to do this. She said I was crazy and I think she is right. Have a trip planned in early May but I think I'm will try to start in April. Sent from my E39 using Tapatalk

Do you have to worry about wild bears where you live?

Well said ND. We also need to be aware of toiletries such as toothpaste deodorants and soaps. I was on a pack trip at Shinning Rock NC. and we had a first timer with us and he had food in his tent. He woke to a skunk standing on his legs. He got sprayed and learned a very important lesson...

Do you find any inappropriately dressed people while camping?

I do want to try winter camping but -45 no way. As far as inappropriate clothing haven't seen to much. Maybe bad choices of shoes for hiking and I have gotten mooned a couple of times by friends. Sent from my E39 using Tapatalk

Do you pre-make any foods before going camping?

We like to cook pasta dishes like spaghetti and meatballs or Alfredo with chicken freeze it in zip lock bags and when it's time to eat drop the bags in boiling water then eat out of the bag. With 4 kids it's quick and easy clean up. We do the same for breakfast. Precooked bacon, crack a couple...

    Bamboo for cooking

Just got really hungry. I like fire baked apples. When we camp we do what we call hobos. We wrap ground beef with potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and what ever else can think of in foil throw it in the fire about 10 or 15 minutes a side and bam your eating like a hobo. Any a season is a good season for camping.

I like the thought of rental gear I will have to look into that and I do like my cake. Spring is just around the corner so I guess winter camping will have to wait. I think it is supposed to be close to 50 this weekend. Yippee!!! Perfect for putting a fuel pump in my truck. I think I'm going to...

Any a season is a good season for camping.

Hi neighbor. I have been here for 17 years and love it. I would be interested in doing some winter camping but lack the gear for now. The family and I have been up and down the MN WI border camping. We have spent most of that time on the north shore from Duluth to Tofte. This past summer we...

Any a season is a good season for camping.

I do prefer spring and autumn my as well. I'm from South Carolina and now live in Minnesota so the summer here is much cooler so the heat doesn't slow me down much. My first trip is early May with Scouts and I can't wait. I will be sure to post pics for you guys and gals. Sent from my E39 using...

    Bryce Canyon

Wish they would do that to the towers here. It looks much nicer. But then again the government gets enough of my money. My wife was in the hospital for 11 days a few years ago and we had to take out a loan to pay for it. Sent from my E39 using Tapatalk

    Anyone use a sleeping pad?

I haven't done much homework on them. I do know there are several options on the market. Some have canopies, extra padding, rockers and even 2 person. You can also buy clip on cup holders and some lay flat to use as a cot. I have not had the opportunity to look at structure on different brands...

Whаt shоuld I lооk fоr whеn buying а саmping tеnt?

The tent you use depends on what you are doing. You may need a couple of different tents. As far as poles go I do prefer aluminum. With proper care any zipper will last. Rubbing bar soap on your zipper will help them slide freely and coat them to protect against corrosion. Sent from my E39...
