    LONGEST TRAIL on the PLANET--->

    The second map you posted it looks like part of it extends all the way up towards Alaska and back down again, I can understand the more southern parts of the trail getting a lot of use but that seems strange to me. I am really thankful for our great national parks system.

    5 pairs of swimming shoes? Why so many!!!? One pair would be more than enough for me, unless you're buying for a family or something

    GPS Navigation

    I have a portable handheld Garmin GPS, it is meant for drivers on the road but it works just great in the wilderness too. I haven't had to use it in an emergency yet, but it is nice to know that it's there.

    LONGEST TRAIL on the PLANET--->

    That's unbelievable, is it from coast to coast? Do you know how long it has been under construction? I would imagine some parts of it have been around for years and years but there was also lots of effort to connect it all together.

    Keeping food cold while camping?

    Well for long trips, ice is really your only option Although I have thought of experimenting with some solar panels and a small mini-fridge but I fear it might use too much power.

    Sleeping Bag or Cot?

    Generally they are less bulky IMO, because they can deflate and fold down to be small enough to fit in a backpack. It is the not inflatable ones which are often heavy and bulky but I guess that is not much of a problem depending on your proximity to your camp site.

    How Can I be sure a life jacket is on properly?

    When you enter the water the life jacket is going to want to float and you are going to want to sink. To make sure it fits right you should pull the jacket upwards, if it fits right it will stay in place and you head should not slide down too much. There are usually straps under the arms that...

    Sleeping Bag or Cot?

    Gotta be careful with the inflatable ones though, sometimes a root or rock under your tent can case a leak and you wake up lying on the ground

    Саmping Dеssеrt Pоssibility

    One of my favorite camp fire dessert recipes is chocolate rice crispies, you can make them in a big pot over the fire and eat them off a spoon once they've cooled a little bit.
