    Washing cloths

=====> :banghead: Right on - thanks for the clarification. Now for something embarrassing - I lost my hat [or so I thought] and Tilley's replaced it. Ya, you guessed it - I found it when I was rummaging through some equipment. I called the company and reported the same and they said it was fine...

    One skillet pizza

=====> :( Not so lucky - we are on the metric system. So that means my milk containers are the size of one those small coke cans. Tastes good and I like my milk cold too so I have a small barrel that goes into the ground and keeps everything cold. Sometimes I place items like this in a net and...

    Washing cloths

...he I is :). I've thought of adding something like this to my equipment inventory but alas I decided against it. Why? Because all my trip clothing is made of quick dry material. Add that kind of product to soft water and walla - clean cloths in an instant. I tend to subscribe to Tilley's...

    One skillet pizza

=====> :finger: Yes it is and it doesn't need to be refrigerated until after opening. I thought it a bit expensive to purchase; it comes in a three pack for $3.00 and change.

    One skillet pizza

...it sort of seems that way doesn't it? I've often wondered where the half thousand people are hanging out. Gee...was it something I said? I really don't know. I just carry on - as I've mentioned to Erik the founder I find the site relaxing and a stress relief as well. Back to milk :shame...

    One skillet pizza

=====> ...and very tasty too. It's great trying various combinations and food stuffs. I remember the days the only choice for tripping food was the freezed dried products in the outdoor stores. Today you can get them just about anywhere and there are several products on the grocery...

    Scary campsite

...I was a Programme Director for a Y camp and I was introducing the new staff to the traditions of the camp. That tradition included the story of the Old Man of Senior Camp". One evening the group were invited to go under the Mohawk cabin at the back where it jutted out over a small ravine...

Are there wolves where you live?

"We is lucky!" There are only two poisonous snakes in Canada and none in the area that I frequent. Coyotes are on the increase and they are definitely becoming a problem in our neck of the woods. As suburbia creeps out and snatches the land our bears become a problem too - unfortunately. On...

Whаt аrе thе bеst саmping hасks?

...gee - I must have missed this one. Best "Camping Hacks" is an expression I don't hear much. I tend to use the term "best practices" or "experienced practices". I suppose they are all the same in that they point to sound advice. William V has some good suggestions. BUT - it all has to relate...

    Cell phone signal

...I have to admit I ain't gots much of a social life. Though I retired from College Teaching I'm still assigned a parish and I'm still very busy. Camping affords me the opportunity to express myself in another way and to escape [or is it run away?] from the rigours and pressures of modern day...

Are there wolves where you live?

...only once in my life did I hear the Chorus of Wolves. From sun down to sun up they continued their haunting howl. Loved it. I shared that experience on a thread here somewhere. Majestic and Marvellous in every way. Mutilated and Killed by human kind.

...I bought this tent with the idea I would purchase a parcel of land, build a platform and use if for the summer. Things didn't work out the way I planned. Anyway this baby is 12 x 20 = a cabin tent with a stove jack.
