Campfire Stew

This is one of the recipes I found in a camping cookbook I had at home and happened to have tried out before. It is great because you don't need to bring a heavy pot along to make it.
  • Roast, 8 ounces
  • 1 potato
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • Can of corn, drained
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • Heavy duty aluminum foil
Cut the potato into 1/2" squares. Slice the carrots and onion. Cut the roast into 1" pieces. On a large piece of foil, layer roast, potatoes, corn, onion and carrots. Add salt and pepper, butter and a tablespoon of water on top. Fold edges of the tin foil together; seal the ends. Set the tin foil packet in coals or grill for an hour.
