Hey mates,
I live in Germany and i was camping here often, so i got a tip for you.
The best camping trip i ever had was in the Rheingau, the Rheingau is a sunny landscape with an extension of 38 kmts it is between the german city's Wiesbaden and Lorchhausen. The People living there, are all for wine, the most common "wine, dont know how to write it!" is the Riesling. I loved camping here, because the landscape is beautiful and the Rhein (a big german riven which ends in the North sea!) is right in the middle, you can sit on top of one of the two cliffs and look down to the Rhein and just calm down and relax, the view is amazing.
I have a picture from me on one of the highest spots in the Rheingau, i found it on a trip, I had to climb some meters and I was so high above the river, poor thing.. I dont find that picture anymore.. dont know where it is. But this should show you a bit of the wine area, if you'd go to the right now, the wine area would stop and you'd find the tall cliffs! Its a really nice landscape and I think everybody who is interested in Camping should go here! and there is even a myth, in the middle of the Rheingau there is a big edge on the cliffs, shipmens said there would sit a woman on the edge, her name was Loreley, people said she had been a mermaid. Originally a 19th century legend, she had long golden hair and pulled the sailors with her singing . It was dark, so the ships could not see the cliffs and got wrecked! A good story ;-)
Thats everything i gotta tell you! Have a great day! greetings from Germany.
