Grandfather Mtn North Carolina

Got up early and started off for Grandfather Mtn. First we walked around the mile high bridge before starting the hike to McCrea Peak. I hate to admit that it wasn't quite a mile, but it was challenging. Pictures 2 thru 6 is taken at the bridge. Pic 6 shows the parking lot and where the trail starts on the platform. Pic 7 is the start of the trail. The blue blaze can be seen painted on the rock. I keep the pictures in order as we went up.

More. The 4th pic is looking up at McCrea point.

I don't want to hear any fat jokes either.

this was maybe the last level spot. It starts to get brutal after this. Stay tuned got a few more.

Last one. We climbing back down. Walked up on a snake, some type of non-venomous snake. Had its head stuck down in a crack in the rock. It zipped on off after my wife touched it's tail. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.
