I got to thinking that most of the edible plants I am aware of are found in the United States or Canada. But what about all you folks from different parts of the world that visit this site and are interested in this subject, but the wild plants are totally different where you live, thus the lessons learned just do not apply.
You are in luck. I have been searching for video's that will be helpful to you who live in the uK and other parts of the world, and I have found the most beautiful well written and filmed information to share. Each video is about 1 hour long.
So get your snack foods and sit back and watch these films done by the BBC, with Ray Mear's, as he shows first hand some of the wild edible foods and how to find them and prepare them. Some of the foods are a bit different and some squirm around a bit, but he says in an emergency they would provide the needed protein you might need to survive.
For safety sake please be sure of what plant you have before eating it. The object of the game is staying alive.
