    Best Way to Purify Water?

That is true @Northern Dancer but I think that the fact that people are becoming more aware of it is a good thing. People who otherwise wouldn't think twice about the environment might take a second look when they find themselves installing a filtration system in their home. It is a weird thing...

    Wow things are heating up.

I love reading trip logs and I'm glad you decided to post here, I feel like it can get into a negative feedback loop where people don't post because others aren't posting. Then a few people break the silence and things kick off again. Anyways, it looks like you go some great pictures. You're...

How to make coffee without a coffee pot?

Hm so basically a french press combined with a thermos? Looks like like it could be good for space constrained backpacking trips.

Fitness Trackers, do you wear them on the trail ?

Haha, sounds like he was quite perplexed. What was the purpose of the climate control? Do you work in the sciences? Or was this device more for your colleague's amusement?

Fitness Trackers, do you wear them on the trail ?

Awesome, I am glad to hear you are taking such good care of yourself :) Again, like I said I never used the step tracking ones but the calorie tracking apps certainly made me less prone to grab a handful of crackers or whatever because I would be too lazy to have to enter them in my log. Have...

    Recent Violence Uprisings

It is true that it is not about the numbers, that is well put but I think drunks at campgrounds are usually at most obnoxious than dangerous.

    New 1 liter pot modification

Very nice, a lip like that helps a lot when you are trying to pour something slowly. When I saw the wood blocks and you mention fixing the handle I thought you were going to be making a wood handle for your pot. It sort of gave me an idea of my own :watching:

Fitness Trackers, do you wear them on the trail ?

I've never used one of those fitness tracker arm bands but I did use Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal | MyFitnessPal.com for a period of time. It is for tracking your daily food intake and it provides you with summaries and statistics similar to what fitness trackers do. If there...

    Camp Wendake Fire prep....

That sounds like a really fun tradition, the friendship fire :) I suppose if you had a smaller group you would have to alter it. Instead of each getting a friendship stick, they would get a friendship log

How to tell if a life jacket fits properly?

Things to sit on other than Lawn Chairs?

Other suggestions: Depending on the camp site and whether or not the ground is wet, consider bringing some blankets a long and sitting together next the fire. I actually like this because you tend not to get as much smoke in your eyes. Use nature! There are often plenty of stumps, large logs...
