    Can openers!

Yea especially if the can is wet. You're almost as likely to cut yourself open on the sharp metal of the can as you are to cut yourself with the knife. So many hazards just to open a can, haha

    Can openers!

I've never used one of those but it looks like it is just like a regular can opener but without the handle? It could work and makes sense if you're backpacking and tight on space. How easy was it to get the can open with the knife @killeroy154, any splattered sauce?

Bon Echo - Joe Perry Lakes

Ah yes, people can be pretty fickle at least I know my friends are. I have found that the best strategy is to just put the plans in motion and then say: "well camping trip is coming up, are you coming or not?" Have you ever been to Algonquin? It is so big that you can go many times and...

Bon Echo - Joe Perry Lakes

@killeroy154 not my first canoe trip, but the first one this season. I used to do canoe ins a lot when I was younger but this was the first one where I was the "trip lead". And the lakes are indeed plentiful, you do have rivers though right?

Bon Echo - Joe Perry Lakes

Haha, I am sure he was. @BMWPOWER The fire was the brightest we could see compared to the dim lights of other camp fires in the distance on long the edge of the lake.

Bon Echo - Joe Perry Lakes

A few weeks back I came back from an amazing trip in Bon Echo Park. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and everything was amazing, we could not have asked for better weather. During our first canoe ride to the camp site from the canoe launch area we had some trouble navigating through a shallow...

Pa camper needs help asap with legal question on private campground.

Weapons are not the answer here, I hope you were able to work out an agreement with the camp management. Maybe people did not like the odor coming from your tent which is understandable. You should try your best to keep the smell to a minimum. If that doesn't work maybe you can talk with the...

Women: What kind of pants do you wear camping?

I like to wear a pair of sweat or track pants in the evenings or if I'm going on a hike in a buggy area but the rest of the time I'm in shorts!

    Interesting Data Explaining Site Traffic

I tried Duck Duck Go a while ago and I really like the privacy benefits but for now I am simply too dependent on the convenience of Google services. I started using a third-party password manager so that seems like a good first step for now. There is also the chance that people are just using...

    Interesting Data Explaining Site Traffic

Sorry I guess I wasn't clear. Basically there is a service called Google Trends where you can type in keywords and compare their relative search engine popularity over time. The graph I posted just shows the number of searches for the term "camping" over time, not this site or any other site...
