Precooked chicken/turkey/ham? For warming things up it would be excellent I think but I don't know if I could trust it to fully cook meat, especially since I would begin to panic about whether it would run out of heat before I could finish cooking. Getting food poisoning would not be fun :grumpy:

It seems to me like camping would the opposite type of activity that would attract that sort of behaviour. Usually that kind of stuff happens when there is a higher density of people around I think.

That's pretty toasty, what have you cooked with it? Is that hot enough to cook raw meat? The heating packs makes it sound similar to these guys (hand warmers)
