A canoe ride in the lake

That's the first time I've ever heard the expression, "Canoe Ride." Sounds weird. I canoe but I've never thought of taking anyone for a ride. Though I suppose you could be talking about a different kind of canoe. This is the kind that I'm referring to ----->

-----> Like I say, "I never buy anything unless it's on sale." :bear: Baden Bear here. "He's right - he never buys anything unless it is on sale." "Ever been with him when he is touring an outdoor store?" "Sales people are afraid of him."

    Grandfather mtn North Carolina

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Now that's what I call an adventure. It seems to me I saw a lot of cave like crevasses the ones suitable for bears. Are we in bear country?

    Canisbay Lake

-----> On the Tuesday afternoon it was 31 [87.8 American] and by Friday evening it was -3 [26.6 American]. Ideal test weather. First I tried regular wood and it roared up to 40 [104]. That's a bit much - so I reduced the feed and it was a lot better. I would have liked to try hard wood but there...

    Canisbay Lake

It is the first time in my camping life that I experienced four seasons in one week. On Tuesday afternoon we were swimming in Canisbay Lake enjoying the warmth of the day. By Saturday the temperatures had fallen to minus three - hot stove weather. What I looked like in the dark - lots of...

    A Quiet Place...

The first part of Autumn Camp, even though the temperature one day was at 31 [87.8 American]. So...it was over the swing bridge, through the enchanted forest, past the spooky Adirondacks, left of tombstone rock, tip toe through the stream and pitch a tent on a quiet knoll. ...and...

...thank you. :bear: Baden Bear here, "You should ask Northern Dancer about his research on the Steel Camp Stove." "I think he is planning to replace his old hot tent stove for a new one." "I tell you - this guy never stops."

    Buy any equipment recently?

...that's sort of embarrassing - you are describing me! But what the heck - some have a social life and the rest of us go camping. :)

    Buy any equipment recently?

I'm sort of interested in learning what kinds of equipment you may have purchased recently. For me it was a canoe tripping tent, new sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and a new down filled winter camping coat - all on sale of course. :) Speaking of sales there sure are a lot of them these days...

    Ridiculous or Not?

@killeroy154 I tend to use the food menu frequently but I like to change some things to prevent it from becoming mundane. Sometimes I take a trip to our local mega food store and see what's on the shelf that I can use. I like to roast Cornish Hens in the Dutch oven or make a meat stew in my can...

Is this ridiculous or not? It’s 3:00 P.M. the workday is dragging on, and then you feel it: The midday crash. Good news, pitch these office-friendly tents and take a nap at work. Nap Tent Too modest to lie down and sleep on the floor in a black abyss-pod? Privacy Pop offers a more subtle...
