    Charlottesville VA

Got back from Charlottesville VA last night. Went to Monticello, and see what that town had. We took a walk on their Rivanna river trail that runs across the town beside the river. It was interesting seeing how trail maintenance was to, just keep it clear. They had an old outdoor theater here...

    Camping phone applications.

That app does sound interesting, but I also have concerns about security issues. I know that the free apps usually try to get some information on you for a, legal, information selling gimick. I'm not paranoid by any means, but I do lean on the side of caution. Curious to know how it works out.

    A Walk in da Woods

Well Bibs, now that is a romantic love story. All mushy and stuff. We're all (yes, including you Madman4800) we're all just a bunch of old pussy cats Some of the cabins are named, but I never researched to see who lived there. Would be interesting tho. The cabin we were trying for was the...

    A Walk in da Woods

Wow kindergarten! That's got my wife and I beat. We met our junior year in high school 1981. We are all we know, if that makes any sense. My staff is from a dogwood tree that died in the yard about 14 years ago, and my wife's is from a laurel, that someone broke off, and shouldn't have, and left...

    Got a hike in!

We used to pass through Ohio from Michigan to Tennessee every so often when I was growing up. My parents would stop to visit relatives in Toledo, but I don't remember venturing into the country side. My wife and I married right after high school, and couldn't afford a pot to pee in or a window...

    A Walk in da Woods

We keep talking about staying up after dark and having fire in the iron fire pit, but it seems like something else always comes up. Even though I work a night shift, I clonk out in the evenings when I am off from work. Ha go figure.

    A Walk in da Woods

    Karma is a hard hitter.

I'm sorry Bibs. It sucks when there is nothing you can do for them. We give them a home, love and we try to make them comfortable and happy, and they become part of the family. I love dogs, but they don't have the life expectancy that we do, and it is emotionally crushing when they pass away...

Pa camper needs help asap with legal question on private campground.

Yes I do wonder. Got to be rough leaving the military and getting plopped into society as it is. I had 4 brothers in the military, 2 of em retired after 20 plus years. I'll always wonder how I would've turned out if I went.

    I Got Nothing.

The last dog we had was a pomeranian. He was my son born beside our bed. Been gone over a year. I still miss him.
