    FREE Patches/Crests now available!

I have attached and displayed my Camping Babble Crests. I figured the #1 thing would be my life jacket because I don't leave home with out it. Seriously I normally leave it in my truck because after a day of paddling or a trip it is the last thing I take off about the time I open my truck to...

    Greetings from Rizal province, Philippines

Wow Philippines! That is awsome. That is some beautiful country. Looks like you all have some great water falls and an active volcanoes Mount Banahaw, eh maybe the volcano may not be that great to live near. Still that's awsome. I have nothing better to do then travel to places using Google...

    Looking for Tent advice.

Hello WilB, and welcome. I have yet to hear from anyone that has used one of those, flying saucer tents. Like Dancer says it's all about what type of tent camping you want to do. For example, I go where the fishing is and I seldom travel more than a couple hundred miles from my home here in...

    Wow things are heating up.

@happyflowerlady the furthest I have been in Alabama was around lake Weiss. My wife and I would love to go to Huntsville to see the space museum, and maybe meet Homer Hickam.

Women: What kind of pants do you wear camping?

I work with someone who claims that it keeps deer ticks from climbing up his legs when he hunts up north. Welcome Tim31556. Also my wife tells me that I need to wear panty hose because standing at my job is contributing to vericouse veins.

    Base Camp TOILETS...

Thank you. It is always a non discussed matter. This I think is what discourages most people from camping out side of facilitated camp grounds, and a persons privacy is nothing to be ashamed of. I have been searching for a suitable setup. I am going to ponder on this for awhile.

    Happy camper

Hello to7update, and welcome. I think most kids love camping as long as they have no bad experiences. I wish I would have taken my daughters more when they were younger. We used to go every summer when I was growing up. Mom and Dad loved it. I guess when you get older and are stuggling to make...

How to make coffee without a coffee pot?

Oh wow! I love my coffee press. First off I grind my coffee at the store, on espresso. Oh baby it look like powder and kicks like mule, so I thought because of the fine grind, huh rhymes don't it, I figured it would cause problems with filter clog. Took press apart to wash as instructed, and...

How to make coffee without a coffee pot?

I was hoping to lighten my camping gear and make my coffee quicker and easier. I love the smell of coffee perking, but I always hated waiting for it to start perking and deciding when it's time after the endless blip blip blip.

    Wow things are heating up.

The lakes here in Tennessee sometime freeze over, and if they do its a very thin sheet of ice. Most time in the winter here it might drop to the teens or twenties, but it usually won't last more than a week. It has been unseasonably warm and dry lately. I have been working in the yard past...

How to make coffee without a coffee pot?

This is similar to what I purchased It is a 2 part cup. You pull the inner cup up and out of the outer cup. Put your coffee grounds and pour hot water in outer cup. Let steep 4 minutes then slide inner cup in, there is a filter on the bottom of inner cup, so as you slowly push inner cup in...
