Time to get back to work.

@killeroy154 I have a kevlar extra light prospector. The manufacturer suggested the treatment to get rid the scrapes, nicks, and gouges. On occasion I will have to sand down some portions of the canoe - but not usually. Like the signature.

Time to get back to work.

...you are making me envious. :) But-a-lass my turn is coming soon. Like the canoe arrangement - my canoe is lashed to the shed during the winter and taken down in the spring to get a polyurethane gloss finish to start the canoe season in earnest.

Popular question: Whаt's thе #1 mоst impоrtаnt thing whеn it соmеs tо саmping?

...right on - we call them needs. I suppose one of the reasons we/I camp is because it is simple. There is frequently a kindred spirit when we meet other campers because for the most part we are much the same.

    Camp cooking

...surprisingly I've never had the urge to purchase any motor boat - the thought has always left me cold. Nothing like canoeing down a river at your own leisure, listening to water swirl as you dip the paddle into the drink. No smell of gas either. Occasionally you come to an eddy and gently...

    Camp cooking

@killerroy154 - dunno, but it's looking mighty good from this side of the lake. How bout a sample? [or at least the ingredients?] I do bring a table and a chair similar to what you have. Really like the hat and I wouldn't mind having the t shirt too. This is my fold up table that I...

When Your Up The Creek Without A Paddle

...true - but how long would you like to do that for? And if you had a full canoe with a dog? :)

When Your Up The Creek Without A Paddle

That could be a deadly thing to happen. And it must not happen. Can you imagine being five days away from base camp and trying to do that manoeuvre - sorry, it isn't going to work. There is always a spare canoe paddle in each canoe (that's the law in this neck of the woods). The only...

Popular question: Whаt's thе #1 mоst impоrtаnt thing whеn it соmеs tо саmping?

...that's why I like my Prospector 16 - it's 36 pounds. It cost me a couple of thousand when it was new. Love it. :)

Popular question: Whаt's thе #1 mоst impоrtаnt thing whеn it соmеs tо саmping?

@lilleroy154 ...how bout one of these? For a mere $5,665.00 CAD or you could move up to a Spirit Dancer for only (don't choke) $14,150.00 CAD

My survival kit is attached to a thwart. I can see that you canoe is full and though my canoe is full too it doesn't look like yours. :)

    "Wanna" see YOUR magnificent trails...

This came to me as a real surprise the other day.... Did you know that we all see the same sun and moon? Those breath taking moments when we stand in awe of some glorious sunset or sunrise are universal. ISN'T THAT WONDERFUL? Let's see your neck of the woods.

    Happy Queen Victoria Weekend...

Yes, yes, yes, indeed it is... VICTORIA DAY WEEKEND that peculiar holiday on this side of the 49th that sort of gets summer started. Yahoo :) And this year we celebrate our Queen's 90th. WOW! But for most part it is just another day off and an invitation to celebrate whatever. And we know how to...

...I'm going to assume that you eat what you catch? It looks mighty good! I've been thinking about getting a canoe seat and I see you have one. What do you think - was it a good idea and what brand might it be? Keep the stuff coming it adds so much to the site. ;)

    Here we go

....pictures are really excellent - sigh. I'm going to have to go some to do better - well at least make an attempt to be equal. STINGING NETTLE? Wash thoroughly with warm (not hot) water using a good lathering soap, rinse well and then apply a good (not expensive) body/hand lotion. :bear...

Popular question: Whаt's thе #1 mоst impоrtаnt thing whеn it соmеs tо саmping?

When I'm car camping I always carry a "Camp" tool kit - I've surprised myself how much I've used it. Somewhere on our site I demonstrated a "survival kit" as well as a "bug out kit".
