    Flavored Coffee Mixes

Yes I agree with this! I am pretty basic when it comes to my coffee though. I normally only make brewed coffee, and use french vanilla creamer with a pinch of sugar. Every so often, I will also add a couple tablespoons of cocoa, or even hot chocolate mix. Taste great!

Foods to take that do not require cooking??

We are trying to prepare our next trip. We have three young kids, our oldest being 5. If you have kids, you know that sometimes patience doesnt exist, especially if the kid is "hungry", and when they want food, they want it NOW, and do not want to wait until its cooked. Plus, while camping, it...

Where can I buy infant water floaties?

Since summer time is ending, I am finding it is nearly impossible to find water floaties in store!! I am needing to get a couple different water floaties, that will fit on a baby. I am not picky on what kind, I want to just browse and see what I like. Any online store recommendation?

Best stores to buy swim suits?

I am needing to buy a bunch of swim suits, one for each family member. I need three in toddler sizes, one pair of mens trunks, and most likely a tankini for myself. Where is a good store to buy them from? Preferably an online store so I can just have them shipped.

Things to sit on other than Lawn Chairs?

We have no interest in buying lawn chairs. Long story short, we have young kids, that tend to pinch themselfs on them. What are some alternatives to lawn chairs that we can bring to sit on? - Side note: We wont be sitting on them much, only at night, to sit around the fire to have family time.

    Eyes swelling since last trip

It could of been some kind of allergy. Also, consider how the weather was, and see if it could be pollen related. Being outside in warmer conditions will do this sometimes if someone has a pollen allergy, my kids do anyways.

Cook food or eat cold meals?

While camping, do you cook on a campfire? Or do you eat cold meals? For us, sometimes we cook easy things on the fire, such as hotdogs, eggs, bacon, etc.. Though, for some meals, we eat cold, like sandwiches and stuff. What do you normally do for meals?

    Wearing shorts or pants?

Which one would you opt to choose. Normal weather conditions are 80 degrees and runny. I am thinking shorts because of the temperature. Though, I am prone to getting eaten up by mosquitos and chiggers... What would you choose?

Would You Buy a Used Camper

Yes, I would actually be more opt to buy a used camper, than a brand new one. Typically you can find a really good deal on your local buy/sell/trade sites. The way I see it is, If you can get a really good deal on a used camper, you'd spend under half of a brand new one. Fix up the used one if...

What to consider when buying your tent

These are some great tips! I always look at size, since we are a family of 5, so we need a large tent. I always go with a trustworthy brand as well, since they seem to hold up better.

    Four dead...

This is so sad. Sometimes, no matter how careful we think we are, you can never be too careful, especially when it comes to fires and things of that nature. Its always sad to hear these stories, especially when children are involved. Prayers to the family.

    RV Pest Control

I would say, if you are not currently using the camper, I would set up mouse traps, or poison blocks. Jars of honey and dawn soap in jars, it will attract flies and gnats. It will at least help some. If the problem is bad, use a bomb treatment, then air it out afterwards.

    Tent or Camper?

I would much rather a camper to a tent. Though, I do agree with some of the above statements, it depends on how far your going and for how long. If its only for a day or two, and closer to home, then we would probably just use a tent.

Favorite Foods that don't need Refrigeration

Since we only use a cooler and a bag of ice, instead of a fridge, its sometimes a pain in the butt to keep more than a few items cold. Instead, we like to take nuts, seeds, fruits, crackers and cheese, trail mix, dehydrated fruit, peanut butter and jelly sandwich stuff, muffins, chips, cheezits...

    Catching your own food

Admittedly, we do not catch our own food while we are out camping. My kids, fiance and myself do not do any kind of fish or seafood. We will sometimes fish, but we always release them immediately afterwards.

    Corn on the cob

This is legit! This is how we shuck our corn when we are out camping! We generally have anywhere from 10-30 people (family outings) and it saves tons of time! It slides right off and doesnt leave those pesky little silk lines.

    Keeping food cold while camping?

We used to have a mini fridge in the camper, but it has since, stopped working. Now, we use a cooler with a bag or two of ice and it works better than the mini fridge did! What do you do to keep food cold?
