I don't particularly care about snakes. In this area we have 2 poisonous snakes copper heads and rattle snakes. They blend in very well with their surroundings. I have had snakes swim up to my latern at night when I was at the waters edge fishing. I never tried to identify them. Some people...
I have thought about purchasing a good multi-tool, but I don't like carrying things clipped on my waistine. I don't wear belts cause I find them uncomfortable. I wear suspenders most of the time, ya know being shaped like Mr potato head might have something to do with it, but no comment.

Hello @ashley0323 and welcome. On my last trip I used my coffee maker filter basket, similar to this one, only the one I used fit into this mug better. Put coffee grounds in paper filter and pour hot water in. Let it drain into cup or pan, voila drip coffee. Works same as most coffee makers. ...

@Northern Dancer, thank you for the generous invitation. I would love to get up that way one of these days. If I ever can I'll give a shout.

I did an over night in the yellow and grey single hammock. I have been up for around 30 hours, so I slept great that night. A lot of how comfortable you sleep depends on how you lay in it, and how you hang it. I had to make shift a tarp above it. I have a double now, and it would sleep a lot...

Yes that's for sure. I had one that started dripping on me in the middle of the night. I don't like sleeping in a wet or damp bag. Next tent I buy will have taped seams.

Pictures looked great! That is a beautiful looking place. It seems to have been a very warm summer this year. Need to get those beavers a chain saw... ooh maybe not. Thank you for sharing.

Back in the late 70's and early 80's, I had a couple of brothers in the military. They would give me their old pants, fatigues I think they were called. They were loose fitting and very durable. I could run through a briar patch and not tear the pants. I think they were cotton. Of course that...
@gracer. Philippines That is great! So far, if I remember correctly, we have people from Hawaii, South Africa, Canada, United States, Romania, Australia, and Great Britain.
I am realy enjoying all this!

Sounds like y'all had a great time. I loved the pictures thanks. I didn't see anyone tied to a tree though. Better luck next time ha.
I couldn't imagine trying to cook and clean for that many people. Doesn't Purina make like allergy free people chow? Ya know, just add water and poof instant...
I have been camping with family some years ago, and it was fun. We played cards and board games. Most of the camping I do now is only with 1 or 2 people. It usually centers more on fishing. Me like fishys.
