    Five days in canoe country...

My Canoe Buddy read my pack barrel. No lie though - "I live my LIFE on purpose!" We checked out Buckskin Lake - the portage [that we didn't take] would be pure hell on a day that the temperatures were in the high 80's. Imagine? Even the Beavers gave up. No...give me the...

    Best Instant Tent?

I have an Ozark Dinning shelter (pictured on my Algonquin Trip - with fly). I like it because it has a door in the front and a full zipper in the back to accommodate the placing of a picnic table. I hated bending over every time I wanted to go in. This product was perfect. Though not water...

    Portable Camping Cooking Bag...

---------------------------------------------:) You can trust it - the product was designed for the military and later sold to the public. You will not run out of heat for a healthy period of time - so it is safe.

    Red Pine Lake solo...

...the water is silky soft. I always wash my hair (up and off shore); it makes it light and shinny. The part of the natural beach is just a few feet deep allowing you to lay down in it. Like a gigantic bath tub designed by some rich eccentric. On the other side the water is deeper for serious...

----------------------------------------------------->:( Thank you! There have been a lot of deaths lately for some reason. I buried Michael's Father when he was 14, officiated at his wedding last August; this Friday I bury Michael. He was involved in a horrific traffic accident on Highway 6...

    Portable Camping Cooking Bag...

I would think that they are based on the same concept. The MRE meals that I sometimes carry have the same pouch. I've never tried raw meat but heated up bacon (that you can purchased already cooked) and canned vegetables. I have cooked chicken/turkey/ham chunks and they came out fine. I'm sill...

    Portable Camping Cooking Bag...

When I go tripping I carry my Outbound cook set that consists of a pry pan, a pot, a lid and inside is a small kettle. The set is just fine but every now and then I want a three piece meal and my set doesn't accommodate the same. What to do? I came across this product last year called Portable...

    Everything But The Kitchen Sink

...what I recommend is you draw a circle around the fire - cross the line and the fire goes out. Depending on the age I get them to assist in building it. [A great teaching moment and an opportunity to manage the safety rules.] This is where camping all begins. Soon they are pro at it.
