How do you pack your spices?

Spice containers are bulky and hard to pack. I pack my spices in small baggies and identify them with masking tape. They can easily be packed. It sure made the food more interesting. I did have a couple of baggies that weren't labeled, I think it was sage and parsley, but it probably wouldn't...

    For the Serious Camper ----->

Found him. Enjoyable to. I enjoy posting picture and stories. I know I ramble on a little, but as long as I'm not annoying any one. Yes I would love to hear from more people about their camping trips. It doesn't have to be spectacular or out in the middle of nowhere. I camp within a 3 hour...

    Gorgeous Citico Creek

Little cool the other night, but some hot coffee followed by left over chicken warmed me up. Time for trout fishing. Caught one on a spinner. Had other ones just swim up and look at it. Lost a couple of nice ones. Had fried taters, broccoli and hominy for dinner. Area was mostly vacant. Some...

    Gorgeous Citico Creek

Spent last night in the Cherokee national for rest at Citico Creek. Lovely trout stream! There's a little color in the trees but surprisingly not much for this time of the year. Not a soul camping here. Uumm um fresh chicken on the grill. I'll bet every bear around was sniffing me out. Now I see...

    Mummy bag to blanket conversion

I woke up to a rainy afternoon, so good time to finish. All I had left to do was stich the edges. This type of nylon material presented it's own difficulty when sewing. I did get my finger under the needle tightning screw on the downward stroke ouch..... that finger did had a cuss word in it...

    Mummy bag to blanket conversion

I purchased a military mummy bag last year, so I could see if I liked that type of bag, plus it was inexpensive. It was plenty warm, but I don't like being constrained in it. I've decided to turn it into a blanket. So I started with a seam ripper to cut the threads for the zipper..... yeh...

    Your Thoughts on Glamping

I was working on a sleeping bag to blanket conversion while sitting with the wife in front of tv today, when she said "now that's the way to do it"! I looked up from what I was doing and asked what she was talking about? She backed the TV show up and this guy sold one of his signed baseball...

    Finding a farm of plantation

No I never have done that. But if I had a farm, and some younger people camping near by did pick a few fruits or vegetables from me, I probably wouldn't say a word or get upset about it.

    Look Out Mtn Chattanooga Tn

We left for Chattanooga about 8am after I got home from work. Wife drove for the first 2 hours, while I snoozed in the passenger side. Man was that nice to, I slept all the way through Knoxville city/interstate hub traffic. I do remember the car lurching a few times, and wife saying some...

    Solar tent heater

Most products are over rated, and lots of people buy them expecting more than their limit. I think solar devices are improving more every day, but yes you must factor in the total costs, reliability and feasibility of what you need it for. Like automobiles, we have come a long way with comfort...

    Best Way to Purify Water?

That would call for a little research into a good water filteration system. And I know I could turn to you and others on this site for that kind of advice. I hope to do a long trip like that one of these days.
